“Not Just Jazz” initially started as “Just Jazz” back in the late 1980’s after Jessica McMillan and Brian Blackman heard the Tauranga Boys High Jazz band playing at Westland High school and thought, “Why can’t we have a big band on the Coast ?”.
After more than 30 years playing mostly Jazz music, they changed direction and now play a huge variety of pop, rock, Latin, and cover band charts with over 150 songs in our current repertoire.
The Friday night concert at the Old Lodge will feature our 14 piece big band including 2 vocalists, playing well known music from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s, right through to current day.
They have a great line up of songs played by some of the Coast’s best musicians. This will be an awesome night which should appeal to a wide audience.
